Transparency is important to us. This page explains how Bucharest Escape earns revenue and how that affects what you read.

How we earn money

Bucharest Escape contains affiliate links to tours and activities on two platforms:

  • GetYourGuide (partner ID LDXYA0P) — the world's largest tours and activities marketplace. When you click a GetYourGuide link on this site and complete a booking, we receive a small commission.
  • Viator (Partner ID P00305208) — a Tripadvisor company offering tours, activities and experiences worldwide. When you click a Viator link on this site and complete a booking, we receive a small commission.

These commissions come from GetYourGuide or Viator respectively, not from you — you pay the same price regardless of whether you use our link. GetYourGuide and Viator are the only two affiliate programmes active on this site.

Our editorial independence

Affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial content. We recommend activities and tours that we genuinely believe offer good value and memorable experiences in Bucharest and Romania. If we think something is overpriced, logistically painful, or not worth the trip, we say so. We do not run our own tours and have no financial relationship with hotels, restaurants or transport operators.

How to identify affiliate links

Links to GetYourGuide and Viator are clearly identified as booking links. They open in a new tab and include rel="sponsored" as required by Google guidelines. Call-to-action buttons like "Check availability" or "Book now" are affiliate links.

What we do not do

  • We do not have a Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb or any hotel affiliate relationship.
  • We do not recommend tours or activities in exchange for payment, free tickets or sponsored stays.
  • We do not hide sponsored content — all affiliate links are marked.
  • We never invent tour IDs, affiliate URLs or partner IDs. Every link you see on this site points to a real, verified listing.
